Frequently Asked Questions

A Fractional Integrator is a part-time, senior operational leader who partners closely with a visionary CEO to bring structure, focus, and execution to the business. At OpsLab, our Integrators aren’t just meeting facilitators, they’re experienced business operators who know how to lead cross-functional teams, solve operational issues, and create momentum.

We step into the day-to-day leadership rhythm alongside your team, drive accountability across departments, and ensure that progress aligns with the company’s vision and strategic goals.

We begin with a focused onboarding period to understand your business, leadership team, and priorities. This includes interviews with key leaders, a review of your EOS tools (or equivalent), and an audit of where execution is breaking down. From there, we co-create a clear 90-day plan aligned with your vision. Your Integrator then embeds into your weekly cadence, running Level 10 Meetings, holding 1:1s with leaders, keeping the team accountable to Rocks and Scorecards, and helping solve real-time issues. We’re not passive advisors. We roll up our sleeves and help you build the operational muscle your business needs to scale.

We don’t bill by the hour or track time by the day. Instead, our engagements are designed around outcomes, your goals, your pace of growth, and what it will take to get traction.

That said, most clients can expect their Integrator to dedicate the equivalent of 1 to 1.5 days per week, depending on complexity and what stage we’re in. Some weeks are heavier; others may be lighter, but we stay consistently embedded in your business, driving execution and accountability across your leadership team.

OpsLab offers a tiered pricing structure based on the level of support your business needs. Most clients invest between $5,000 to $15,000 per month, depending on company size, complexity, and scope.

This includes hands-on leadership from a seasoned executive, not just someone managing checklists.

Most clients work with us for 12–18 months, though some stay longer depending on the evolution of their business.

Our goal is to help you build a self-sustaining leadership team and operational rhythm. When the time is right, we’ll help you elevate an internal leader or hire a full-time Integrator to carry the torch.

After an initial discovery conversation to understand your business and goals, we’ll share a proposal tailored to your needs and scope. If it feels like a fit, we’ll introduce you to the Integrator on our team who’s best suited to support you based on:

  • Availability
  • Ability to solve the core issues you’re facing
  • Fit with your industry and leadership team

Our goal is to make sure the right leader is in the seat, someone who can hit the ground running and feel like a natural extension of your team.

No, but we do work best with clients who either already use EOS or are open to adopting it.
Every business needs structure, clear goals, the right people in the right seats, a way to track performance, and systems that keep the team aligned and accountable. EOS is a proven framework for doing all of that well, and we’ve seen it transform companies time and again.

We can support you in implementing EOS, or work alongside a certified Implementer if you already have one. Either way, we’ll ensure your leadership team is equipped, supported, and executing with discipline.

Great question and one we hear often.

EOS Implementers are coaches. They guide your leadership team through the EOS® tools in full-day sessions and help you make high-level decisions about how to apply the system in your business. Their role is to teach, facilitate, and coach, not to operate your business day to day.

Fractional Integrators, on the other hand, are part of your team. They sit on your Accountability Chart and drive execution in the day-to-day. They lead Level 10 Meetings, support departmental leaders, solve cross-functional issues, and make sure priorities are getting done.

Think of it this way:

  • An Implementer helps you learn EOS.
  • An Integrator helps you live it.

We often work alongside EOS Implementers, and we highly recommend that our clients do the same. It creates a powerful combination: external guidance plus internal execution.

A Fractional Integrator acts as the glue that holds your leadership team together, ensuring your business runs smoothly and stays on track toward its goals. While every engagement is tailored to the company’s needs, typical responsibilities include:

  • Driving accountability – Leading weekly leadership meetings (L10s), tracking Rocks, and ensuring commitments are met.

  • Aligning the team – Facilitating clear communication between departments and removing obstacles that slow progress.

  • Managing priorities – Keeping the company’s Vision, annual plan, and quarterly objectives front and center.

  • Optimizing processes – Streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and ensuring key processes are documented and followed.

  • Overseeing execution – Coordinating cross-functional projects and ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

  • Leading quarterly and annual planning – Helping the leadership team set priorities, solve issues, and plan for the future.

  • Serving as a trusted advisor – Offering a neutral, big-picture perspective so the Visionary can focus on growth while the Integrator manages day-to-day operations.

In short, a Fractional Integrator makes sure the right things get done, in the right way, at the right time - without the cost of a full-time executive.

While a Fractional Integrator plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly, there are certain responsibilities and deliverables that remain with other members of the leadership team or outside partners. A Fractional Integrator is not typically responsible for:

  • Being the Visionary – Creating the company’s long-term vision, culture, and overall direction is the Visionary’s role. The Integrator supports and executes that vision but doesn’t replace it.

  • Departmental deep work – The Integrator doesn’t manage the day-to-day technical tasks of each department (e.g., writing code, designing marketing campaigns, closing sales). Department leaders own their team’s work.

  • Replacing the leadership team – The Integrator drives alignment and accountability, but each leader remains responsible for their department’s KPIs, Rocks, and people.

  • Specialized expertise – Legal, financial audits, HR compliance, tax preparation, and IT security require dedicated experts; the Integrator coordinates but doesn’t perform these functions.

  • Micromanaging – The Integrator focuses on removing roadblocks and aligning resources, not controlling every detail or decision.

  • Full-time availability – As a fractional leader, the Integrator dedicates an agreed-upon number of hours or days each month, rather than providing round-the-clock access.

In short, the Fractional Integrator is there to lead, align, and execute at the leadership level, not to take over every operational detail or replace your existing leaders.
